Net Neutrality

NET NEUTRALITY: How to make your voice heard:
The last time the FCC tried to kill Net Neutrality, Stephen Colbert urged his viewers to comment on the FCC proposal. The FCC was buried in comments, all telling them to leave Net Neutrality in place. This time the FCC has buried the page to comment several levels down in their site, so Colbert registered the page goFCCyourself.com and set it up to redirect you to the correct page at the FCC site. Let's bury them again! Click to the page, then click on "Express" to get to the Comments page.

🌽 HAPPY THANKSGIVING! 🦃

One of the oldest spice mixes in the country, Bell’s dates back to 1867, when William F. Bell of Newton, Massachusetts created the blend from an old family recipe. Since then, nothing has changed…and come to think of it, neither has the box. Immediately recognizable with its colorful, (now) vintage looking label, lettering, and hand-drawn turkey, Bell’s is the throwback that never left.

We are considering having our family Thanksgiving in October next year, when the Canadians celebrate it, and call it Native American Thanksgiving.  It makes more sense to have it at Harvest!

Happy Sunday

I have three meetings here each month.  It's the same church the recent Quilt photo came from.

Marines investigating claim about men in Iwo Jima photo

This interests me because my Uncle Walter, who was 18 at the time, was wounded at Iwo Jima.

NOVEMBER

My Mom painted this when I was a child.  I remember watching her.
I was amazed at what she could create with so few brush strokes.

Election Day 2017

There are no elections at all in Vermont today!  No polls.  Wow.  Just wait 'til next year!!
How about you?  Any big races in your state?  Which races are you watching around the country?

New Emoji!

I like the new Colbert emoji...one raised eyebrow.
I feel like that a lot lately...
especially when the news comes on...!

Dave the Treadle Guy

Dave the Treadle Guy was here last Wednesday and pronounced Blossom in beautiful running order!  Pretty amazing that he lives just a two minute walk away. He lubricated everything, put in a new needle and gave me some excellent sewing machine oil to have on hand as needed. It looks like I'll have something fun to do this Winter!
