Dopplar Radar showing possible Tornado
You may already know how to spot a tornado on Dopplar Radar, but I have seldom seen such a clear picture of it. When you see both green and red right next to each other, you are seeing both cool air and warm air in juxtaposition that inspires rotation. In this case, there was warm moist air (the worst kind for this) and we were watching it closely because my brother and family were in Dennisport, with the storm moving toward the west. But just at this point the storm moved more to the NW, missing Dennisport! Whew! Especially as it was around 3:00am and they were in a small beach cottage with no basement. I have to wonder how others fared.
