THE FIGURE EIGHT RACE
Root*Center*Son won this race, with his Dad! I painted it for his birthday a few years back, during the same two weeks that I painted yesterday's! (Those two have birthdays two days apart (well and two years different! Ha!). Recently, I said to him, "It's really nice of you to loan your painting back to me a whole month for the Art Exhibit." And without missing a beat he said, "I KNOW!" LOL! One of the best compliments I've ever had.

CRUISING BURLINGTON
This was a birthday gift for our Youngest a few years ago. I painted it and framed it in under two weeks. He told me this week that it is his absolutely favourite view from Burlington. Score!

APRIL...plus candles
This shows the triptych APRIL that I painted for Mah*Sweetie's birthday a few years ago. It is three views from the Causeway (former train path across the Lake!), showing (left to right) Mount Mansfield (VT), Camel's Hump (VT) and Whiteface Mountain (NY). Also in the case are four pair of candles that I dipped on Candlemas, a photo journal of the process, and some of the supplies I used.
Also in the display case are what's left of two Paschal candles that I decorated for St. Barnabas Episcopal Church over the years. When I give them a new one, they give me back the old one.

THREE IN ONE ~ HAPPY EASTER!
I certainly hope these larger images haven't been wreaking havoc all week for puddle and others seeking to log in! This was a Mother's Day rose I received, and I was amazed to find it had three centers!! I have three granddaughters, too, so it's most appropos. Being of Celtic and Christian bent, the imagery of Trinity was not lost on me. I love the light-infused nature of this photo and the focus I somehow found for it. A perfect flower to have opened at The Tomb heralding a greater force than death: resurrection. Welcome Spring!
