So, I was just going through bookmarks and found this had been re-activated since 2013. Hannah Blog is still active, but I don't allow comments or tracking. I've a new persona on Facebook, Sidney Lanier, which is short for the Sidney Lanier Environmental Advocacy Team or SLEAT. SLEAT also has a Google page.
The profile picture is of the spouse standing on the dike in Hannah's Marsh, 12 acres of marshland we bought on the Georgia coast. I left a bench on the dike and it can be seen in google earth. Tropical Storm Irma carried it inland and deposited it on a neighborhood street. We retrieved it and the other day I put it back.
Well, the promised rainstorm with wind is here. Myyyy goodness, the gusts are intense and sustained!! As they are supposed to build to around 60mph, this could be a long night. I just hope we don't lose power before Mueller reveals what's going on!! I'll be wearing my Mueller Time shirt tomorrow!!
Tomorrow I would be satisfied with the appetizer course. No need to gobble down the entire meal from soup to nuts all at once. Let us savor each course.
A couple of swan planters I had got swept away in Hurricane Isobel. Neighbors a couple of mile down fetched them from the flood. I left them there, and enjoyed the drive by for years.
I am working on the third iteration of my ink & water color sketching go-bag (or field kit, if you prefer). It's looking pretty good, and has been getting smaller with each version. I need but one more item from the art supply store, and to slightly modify one already made. The first version was in a small backpack; the second in my small and old briefcase, and the third is in a repurposed accessory tool kit bag for a defunct scientific instrument. Interestingly, I see that the original bag manufacturer's tag is inside; I think I will check on them: Jameslee Corporation, Chicago.

60 mph? That's a very strong gale, listener. Here's hoping for no significant damage.
