The Stairs are Renovated!

 

The stairway is done! Wil DIY'd it all over the course of five weeks… painting the walls and trim, removing old carpet and pad, staining the treads, painting the risers, rebuilding the entire landing, placing tread pads, then securing the new runner. The cats are so relieved the stairs are soft again and offer a little traction.

Small Wonder we won the raffle at Granddaughters' play, eh? 🤣

 

Year of the Dragon

 

The Chinese Lunar New Year began Saturday and the celebration lasts two weeks.

The dragon is the only mythical creature in the Chinese zodiac.

FIVE

Yup. I ended Candlemas with only 5 pair of hand-dipped candles. (Plus 24 votives) 

That's because, while 12 pair were dipped, others did some of the dipping and took those home. It was worth it to be with loved ones and share the days. I think, though, I will plan, next year, to have a lone day ahead of the busy ones.
