  1. I fell asleep very late last night/this morning; 0800 hrs now, overcast with a trace of rain predicted after sundown tonight. No wind, and can make out the snow on the mountaintops. Coffee, fruit, and a bigol chocolate muffin at hand.

From that article: "That was a running theme throughout the prosecutors’ filing: Where Trump spoke in ominous terms about a monolithic “Biden administration” acting against him, the reality was that career officials from multiple agencies, acting on their discrete responsibilities, took standard and even “innocuous” actions to fulfill their duties, according to the brief."

    1. Thanks, Susan! That's actually last year's batch, as I needed to post ahead of this year's dipping.
I was surprised that the colours in the cans from last year are white, blue and purple! I don't recall adding blue to the red. But it's a nice purple, and the blue I have this year is more turquoise...by design, as 16 year old grand is coming here tomorrow for the day (her idea!). We will dip candles, and that boue is her favourite colour.

The funny thing is that yesterday, on Candlemas, I never actually made any candles at all. Two dear friends came to make candles with me and I have a galley kitchen...so I served as "acolyte" and kept everything supplied. We all talked so much that they each made 2 pair of candles all day long. When I'm on my own I can dip 12-18 pair in a day. LOL.

Tonight I dipped three pair and made a dozen votives. Tomorrow more. Candlemas is becoming a season at my house! Ha!

    1. How Did Birds and Crocodilians Escape Extinction? [Click] As memory serves me, all the perching birds died out (because forests burned), and some modern (or nearly modern) duck-like birds in Antarctica survived. Also many large and specialized crocodilians died together with the non-avian dinosaurs.
