BREAKING No presidential immunity for Trump Donald Trump does not have presidential immunity and can be prosecuted on charges of plotting to overturn the 2020 election, a US court has ruled.
Trump had claimed in the landmark legal case that he was immune from criminal charges for acts he said fell within his duties as president.
But Tuesday's unanimous ruling in Washington DC struck down that claim.
It is a setback for Trump, who has for years cited presidential immunity while battling multiple court cases.
Stick with us as we bring you the latest reactions and analysis to this news.
Significantly, the decision blocks any appeal to the full Cout of Appeals. Trump must appeal directly to the Supreme Court. Which, IIRC, has said it will not hear arguments but will base its decision specifically on facts and arguments presented in lower courts.
An article I read said DT plans to appeal. So I guess it will be going to the Supreme Court, and I hope they have enough wit among them to do this actual justice.

Indulging in potato chips here, while I speculate about whether TFG will be able to pony up the [$750,000,000?] needed for the appeal bond. I shouldn't be surprised if his properties are mortgaged to the hilt. ----Alan
There's something you guys can explain to me about the New Hampshire primary. The CNN report I saw said New Hampshire broke DNC rules and, for that reason, no delegates were awarded. So, what does that mean? Will New Hampshire not be represented at the convention? And, if not, doesn't that delegitimate the nomenating process?
From the Wikipedia article: [Click] “The state party may still send their delegation to the Democratic National Convention anyway, hoping the DNC will reverse course similar to what happened in 2008 when Florida and Michigan held their primaries earlier than the calendar allowed; after initially ruling both states would be stripped of all their delegates, it was decided to only penalize half of their delegates.[5][19] DNC chair Jaime Harrison indicated the night of the election that he would work towards seating the delegates, though the decision is ultimately in the hands of the Rules and Bylaws Committee of the DNC.” —Alan

House vote on impeaching Mayorkas has been taken with the surprise result (so far) of 215 to 215 with Steve Scalise out of commission. The Republicans thought Democrat Al Green wasn't going to vote today, but he surpised them and showed up to vote against it. THEN! While the Republicans were trying to get one of their three nays to change their vote, one of the Republicans changed their vote from Yea to Nay. Ha! The bill to impeach Mayorkas has FAILED.
