The Challenger Soccer Ball
Turns out that when space shuttle Challenger blew up
73 sec after takeoff, one item was recovered from the ocean intact.
It was a duffle bag that contained a soccer ball that was supposed to go into space. So, in tribute, that same ball spent 173 days in space
aboard the International Space Station.

She cranked the wheel, then pushed the red button. But, "It didn't go!"

OOPS! π

We thought Mizzen was taking a big nap upstairs. But it turns out she was stuck in the linen closet, for well over an hour.
Silly kitty never even meowed. She just decided to try to dig
her way out. Fortunately she didn’t harm the new flooring at all.
She put all her efforts into the paper towels instead!
She was rather mad when I found her. But, after a nice dish of food, a big drink of water, a visit to the catbox and some fun chasing the red dot, she was more relaxed and all about some purry cuddle time. She forgot all about it in an hour or two. So we will need to remain vigilant about her getting into the linen closet. Kitties sometimes go there to look for their courage. π

The Stairs are Renovated!

The stairway is done! Wil DIY'd it all over the course of five weeks… painting the walls and trim, removing old carpet and pad, staining the treads, painting the risers, rebuilding the entire landing, placing tread pads, then securing the new runner. The cats are so relieved the stairs are soft again and offer a little traction.

The Chinese Lunar New Year began Saturday and the celebration lasts two weeks.
