She cranked the wheel, then pushed the red button. But, "It didn't go!"

  2. US returns to lunar surface for first time in over 50 years: ‘Welcome to the moon’ [Click] I can’t help but think of how the recent Russian lander got splattered on the moon, and subsequently the director of the project accidentally consumed a lethal amount of poison mushrooms. And thus to bed.

Just read that the lunar module landed on its side. However, it is still functioning, antennas pointed toward Earth and solar panels still able to charge the batteries. The only item on the down side of the module is a static art project. Everything else can still do what was hoped…for 9-10 more days until lunar night falls on the module and everything freezes.

  4. Trump Says Left Wants to ‘Tear Down Crosses’
[Click] I suppose next he will publish photos of derelict churches in various cities [e.e. Detroit and Buffalo] and claim they were destroyed by lefties and atifas. I suppose I shouldn't be giving them ideas, but also think they are going bonkers because of TFG's impending financial doom. Wonder if he has been in consultations with his internal decorators about spiffing up his prison cell.

    3. I'd let him have his painted gold if he'd just get in it.

    4. Wikipedia: Imprisonment of Jefferson Davis. [Click] The chill and damp of the casemate which was his initial site of imprisonment (perhaps exacerbated by food that we would today consider inadequate—at first it was standard Army rations) was considered injurious to his health, so he was moved to better quarters, albeit still in Fort Monroe. Considering the poor diet preferred by TFG, putting him on today's standard Army rations ought to be a considerable improvement. I have read that there are complaints about the food provided in the Fulton County jail.

  5. Over the past couple weeks I've been reading several of Mercedes Lackey's Valdemar books. Last night, though, I started the first book in Philip Jose Farmer's River World series, To your scattered bodies go.

  6. The Left does not want to tear down crosses. But the Right wants to beat the rest of us to death with them. These freaks are NOT Christians! Jimmy Carter was the last truly Christian politician.---Susan

    2. Yes, Jimmy Carter was a very good man. From Wikipedia:

From a young age, Carter showed a deep commitment to evangelical Christianity. In 1942, Carter became a deacon and taught Sunday school at Maranatha Baptist Church in Plains, Georgia. At a private inauguration worship service, the preacher was Nelson Price, the pastor of Roswell Street Baptist Church of Marietta, Georgia. An evangelical Christian, Carter appealed to voters after the scandals of the Nixon Administration, and is credited with popularizing the term "born again" into American lexicon during the 1976 American presidential campaign. As president, Carter prayed several times a day, and professed that Jesus was the driving force in his life. He was greatly influenced by a sermon he had heard as a young man that asked: "If you were arrested for being a Christian, would there be enough evidence to convict you?" In 2000, after the Southern Baptist Convention announced it would no longer permit women to become pastors, he renounced his membership, saying: "I personally feel that women should play an absolutely equal role in service of Christ in the church." He remained a member of the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship.[436] Carter's support for the Equal Rights Amendment led many evangelical conservatives to leave the Democratic Party, contributing to the development of the Christian right in American politics."

I remember that he was respectful of others' religions.

    3. Definitely enough evidence to "convict" Carter of being a Christian. Add to the above that he championed Habitat For Humanity in his retirement. Jimmy Carter remains my favourite President.
Biden is doing a good job of being my second favourite. He too is a Christian and, like Carter, has stood up even in his denomination for the rights of women.
