Guy Fawkes Day: A Brief History Nov 5: The British holiday, celebrated annually with fireworks and bonfires, commemorates the failed Gunpowder Plot of 1605.
Are you suggesting a celebration of the failed Jan. 6 coup attempt. Thing is, it never had any chance of succeeding. Hitler's failed Beer Hall putsch looks well planned by comparison.

I very much hope the President gets his act together and instructs the UN ambassador to stop voting with Israel on *everything*! I like and admire him. But, if he continues this blind Israel right or wrong garbage, he's going to lose votes, including mine...in which case, I hope the Green Party fields another good, solid candidat like Howie Hawkins in 2020.
One of the reasons I did not vote for Biden last time was that I remembered him from way back as being rather too far to the right in foreign affairs for my tastes. That said, probably no one in the US could deal well with the current events in Palestine. ----Alan
