I presume that 77% is 77% of *registered* voters in that age range. Still pretty good, but 77% of *eligible* voters in that age range would be even better. ----Alan

Yes, I am quite happy. The Republicans were lying their faces off trying to defeat Issue 1. I saw commercials on YouTube claiming passing this law would allow dismembering of live babies. I kid you not! I HATE LIARS. (Susan)
I love that it's Ohio that turned the first corner for us all. Yay Ohio!! Vermont had no polling or elections at all today. We'll be busy next year, though.
Here's the answer: "Judges can order a mental health evaluation if they believe they need to acquire further information on a party's mental state. This may help them assure thoroughness before dismissing a case or allowing it to be pled down to a minor offense." ND Assessments

Susan— I came across this video by Peter Zeihan; he is a very good public speaker, and although I think there are others who know more about geopolitics that he does, I do think he is worth listening to. In Ohio, 77% of voters aged 18-30 turned out to vote! Bodes well for the future...especially theirs!

Judge Chutkin orders Trump to give notice on January 15th if they intend to invoke an advice of counsel defense— and to turn over all relevant records on that same day if they will use such a defense. [Click] Such a plea automatically waives attorney-client privilege.
ReplyDelete——Alan (Who wonders if there is an effective deadline to plead inability to aid in one’s own defense (i.e. insanity).
What happens if such a plea is not entered, but the judge sees evidence of such being the case?
DeleteSo, either DT has to throw counsel under the bus or keep attorney-client privilege. Interesting.
DeleteHmmm, yeah...does a judge ever move to have a person undergo a psychiatric exam if the defendant or their attorneys haven't requested it?
