Don’t Make Us Send The Flying Monkeys!

The ornament was made by DIL who illustrated Wil's book.

The Emerald City is on one side
and a flying Monkey on the other.
I commissioned her to create this
long before she was asked to work on the book!

  1. Forgot to mention that yesterday's ornament was my gift to Wil for our 50th. It was hand blown.

    2. A true statesman. He's also been through so much tragedy. I hope this goes well and that he is able to complete all his treatments without setbacks.

    3. Chemotherapy sure isn't any fun, but some are not as unpleasant as others, and as time goes by they become more and more tolerable. May he have a mild type.

    4. Thanks for the insider's view, Alan. I don't know how harsh chemo for lymphoma is, but none of it is fun. It sure got better, though, once they learned to offer anti-nausea meds as needed.

    1. One reason there has been such a large turnover of judges is because young lawyers are applying to get some experience on the bench, which will then make them more employable by corporations.
They are not looking for life-time employment and they are also not from the defense or prosecution side. Justice Jackson is an exception to the current pattern. Judge Aileen Cannon, who made those erroneous rulings for Trump in Florida is an example of what the Federalist Society recommends.
The Federalist Society seems to favor states' rights to make the rule of law as confusing and ineffective as possible.
