The local women's march was pretty good. Good crowd, good speakers - some disruptions from a few anti-choice fanatics, just annoying - mostly ignored. I am way too old and tired to be going to protests, but I was certainly NOT the only granny in the brigade there. Women are very, very, very tired of the politicians and ignorant men with power who try to force us to be chattel and under their control - never allowed to be the full human beings we are. There were plenty of men there supporting us too and that is greatly appreciated and never overlooked.
I saw that listener posted both sides of my protest signs yesterday, and thanks for that. The "grandma" side got the most laughs and the "introvert" side got the most requests for photos. As I was leaving I passed four bicycle cops and one of them looked over, quickly read my "grandma" side and cracked up (in a good way).
I am so tired of protests like this being necessary, but they are and I will continue as long as I can. I ran across a meme on Facebook first thing this morning which captures why I do this when I really do not want to. I'd rather stay home and quilt!

Good for you, Susan. It's not exactly on target, but it reminds me of the chorus of the old song:
"Well you ain't donе nothin' if you ain't been called a "red" If you've marchеd or agitated, you're bound to hear it said So you might as well ignore it, or love the word instead Cause you ain't been doin' nothin' if you ain't been called a red"

Cheese-us; I just took out the kitchen scraps to the compost heap, and the big power pylons on the far side of the river, about a mile and a quarter away, are completely invisible. In times past we had fog that thick in the winter, but I have never seen smoke so thick.
BYD electric autos are not yet for sale in the US, but probably will be before long. The cost, range, charging time and battery safety all look good. FWIW.
She is totally performative and I find that completely disgusting. One I remember was her little idiot curtsy and thumbs down on a vote. She is NOT representing those who voted for her. She is running the Kristin Sinema Show and she is the ONLY star. Beatch.
Limited visibility here this morning; AQI = 153.
