NYT: Five Decades Later, Medicare Might Cover Dental Care [Click] “In the large budget bill now in Congress, supporters of the measure see a rare opportunity to advance a popular policy.” Dentists are objecting that Medicare might pay less than they want to charge; I am not sympathetic. When our old dentist suddenly passed away (pre-Covid), the one we moved to had obviously higher overhead, and it is reflected in his charges—polished stone floors, marble restrooms with fancy faucets, multiple X-ray machines, considerably more expensive office space and a far larger staff.
I have blocked out my drawing class assignment for this coming week; an animal in gray and white chalk pastel on black paper. I just know that this will be the best pastel drawing of a Greater Indian Rhinoceros that I have ever made.
VERMONT COVID CATCH-UP: 27,972(SUNDAY)-27,648(FRIDAY) = 324 cases SATURDAY = 189 new; 33 in hospital, 8 in ICU SUNDAY = 134 new; 29 in hospital, 7 in ICU No new deaths! Positivity rate down to 2.8%
WHAT FUN with 5 of our 8 grands present and 2 of our 5 kids. Little Grace was delighted with soap bubbles! Sweet how little it takes to make a little one happy. We got to bring VT*Grand with us, as her parents were at a wedding. ALL wedding guests had to be fully vaccinated to come. Ours wore masks anyway.
