Only VERY faintly; it is so weak that one wonders if it is imagination. The air quality index was, as I recall, 47 before the fire, and is currently only 52.
No smell of smoke during our morning constitutional, and definitely less smoke visible in the distance, all around. And the air conditioner service guy will be here soon.
Just when I was thinking that she must be bored out of her mind, she asked what we are doing tomorrow. The reason? She was hoping to be able to stay a third night! So I guess it wasn't so bad after all. 😁 Wil has a doc appt, then we have a commitment. So we couldn't have her stay one more overnight. But we did make plans to spend time together in August. I'm so glad she will still be living in Vermont!
And the air conditioner for the bedroom wing of our house has been fixed! The problem was a failed condenser (a big oil condenser that gets the the motor started). We were afraid the whole A/C might need to be replaced.
I date myself; "condenser" in modern parlance is "capacitor." But at least I don't often refer to triode vacuum tubes as "valves." In fact, I don't oftern refer to triode vacuum tubes. Come to think of it, transistors function as valves also.
Well, Putin was far too effective for our good. Everything is still in turmoil today and trump continues to tout his Big Lie.
I got a fund-raising email from Adam Schiff and it contained his quote from the FIRST Impeachment, which I had not read before. Speaking of trump he said...
"He has compromised our elections, and he will do so again. You will not change him. You cannot constrain him. He is who he is. Truth matters little to him. What's right matters even less, and decency matters not at all."
