In future, could we coordinate so that each thread gets a full 24 hours? I'm DELIGHTED you are posting threads. It would serve best if yours could ADD a day rather than share a day, as it would make less work for me coming up with posts. If you ever want to post yours next, feel free to reset my thread to a different date that isn't yet used. HAPPY to have that happen! And thanks again!!! ❤️
Okay, Listener, got it. I've done mine for only twelve hours specifically to cause as little disruption as possible. But if you prefer twenty-four hour blocs, I'll do my best to remember.
I will probably just stick with my old orange duckbill N95 masks. But your Englebert mask made me wonder. Is it from his web site? Hmmmmm..... any customs masks on the IWW web site? Looking...looking...looking... no such luck. No belt buckles either. Oh, well.

Here’s What Happens to a Conspiracy-Driven Party [Click] “The modern GOP isn't the first party to embrace huge conspiracies. But the lessons should be sobering.” Very well put [IMO] by the Politico History Department. Human nature has not changed since 1856.
The Decision That Will Define Democrats for a Decade [Click] “Will they get rid of the filibuster if it means passing their voting-rights and election-reform agenda?” I sure hope so. I will be writing to both our senators; our new one (Alex Padilla) is already in favor, but I have my doubts about Feinstein. She might be susceptible to “encouragement,” though.
This fix goes back to having an actual talking filibuster, as I have advocated, under a rule that would effectively require the minority to have at least 40 Senators present at all times. The alternative of requiring 3/5 of those present and voting, as distinct from 3/5 of the entire Senate, would to some extent place the burden on both sides. Less extreme, but still enough to discourage use of the filibuster for anything other than serious matters.
Hi Cat!

HRC learn? Don't make me laugh. Yes, presumably a representative would be better than a car salesman, though I like Susan's idea of finding a Taft.
DeleteLol!! And there I was, back on the old thread, all by myself. . . .
ReplyDeleteAnd now I'm here. All by myself, :)
ReplyDeleteI drop by periodically, even if I don't have anything to post.
