  2. Last evening Pixie, who is a small Tuxedo cat, had an adventure. When Dad let in the care aid just before 11:00, Pixie darted out. She gamboled on the front lawn,, leaping and diving in the snow, which was fortunately only a few inches deep. Then she took to the sidewalk and marched down to the corner house (that is the house next door). On coming back, she went up the driveway and under the car. After that it didn't take her long to come inside. Dad said she must have been cold. I didn't see her myself, but she was probably pretty wet too. Her fur is king of long so when she's dry she looks kind'a like a fuzz ball. Anyway, all this took place in the middle of the night. A little more excitement than Dad needed at that hour; but he said Pixie seemed to enjoy herself enormously.

    3. Mizzen cat begged for and received (from Wil) a little whipped cream one evening. That was it! She was in love with it. We checked with the vet and she said it's okay in small doses. So now with me not eating sugar and Wil not eating fat, we actually buy squirt-on whipped cream just for the cat. She gets a very tiny dollop of it each evening. LOL!

    1. What was the date on that Wisconsin article? The governor they are talking about recalling was defeated for reelection in 2018.

    1. I helped. I ordered a pair for myself and one for our nephew, whose birthday is Saturday and who sent me a meme of Bernie sitting in their garden! LOL!

But I took flack for it. My artist DIL was incensed that the original artist had teamed up with a big toy manufacturer to make the mittens, instead of local artisans. She feels everyone should have bought them from local artists who are just trying to make ends meet. She made a good point. When I ordered, I didn't know they're being manufactured in KENTUCKY!! Argh!

  7. A New Way to Trace the History of Sci-Fi’s Made-Up Words Click This article seemed slightly incoherent to me, but that might only reflect the shortcomings of my screen reader. The dictionary under discussion is surely an important step forward.

So now the weird thing Blogger is doing is that when I go to the list of threads with thumbnails, and click to open one of them (such as to edit it), instead of showing me the preview Blogger just shows me the ascii data that will create the photos. I've never seen that before!
One has to click "Preview" to get to the preview. But you can't edit from that screen. It's going to make editing a real PITA.
