  1. I was away from the news for about a day and half; calling the situation in the White House a dumpster fire is clearly inadequate. The speed of the disintegration is certainly not unprecedented--disasters all seem to happen suddenly--but it is nevertheless breathtaking.

    Yes, vacation from news is indeed restful. Don't know about dumpster fires. Here's how Auntie Beeb put it:
