That's a beautiful chair. We have an upholstered child's chair in my branch library that looks like stacked books. I'll have to try to get a picture next time I'm in.
So now I have a rare example of Blogspot eating one of my posts. Last night I posted a reply to my message about catching up on things with an example of what I was doing. It appeared initially, but when I refreshed the page it wasn't there and it still isn't.
I remember that in my first first-grade classroom the teacher had a claw-foot bathtub, painted orange, where students who had completed some sort of task that I don't recall could read a book (selected from a special shelf if memory serves me well).
Mid-post disappearances seem to happen to me only when I don't keep an eye out for the little wheely thing going around and around indicating that the page is still loading. Once that stops, all is good. If I can get the post entered and posted before the wheely thing stops, I may get away with it anyway. No way to do that with replies, though--have to be patient.
Apologies for the late post, but my experience duplicates Alan's. If I start trying to post before the page is fully loaded -- which takes some seconds on my computer -- then the partially completed post will disappear once the load is complete.
We had much better air quality today; nice day at the zoo. Naomi found several subjects for her study of animal anatomy, there was nothing in my league to sketch, but I had a nice time. They have extensively remodeled and modernized the zoo since we were last there, about thirty years ago. I will sometime give sketching a try at the local junior college, which occupies the old state college campus, with a number of old buildings to match--suitable for basic single perspective drawings--pretty much rectangles and arches. Pseudo two-point perspectives should also be easy with them. Residences along the old faculty row might be a later step.
Hallo all! I was quite busy on Saturday and never really even saw my computer. Instead, we were tending our local grands (ages 4 and 2) all day, then picked up our 10 year old grand for an overnight. Off to sleep myself right now. so I can keep up with her on Sunday. We are getting and decorating our tree. It's been great three or four days for family time.

Sorry about that Bill--at least it made it initially. Mine often disappear in mid post.
