Oh-oh… [Click] Article in yesterday’s Fresno Bee about HRC’s campaign political director—a latina who lost her only campaign for office (a House seat) in a heavily latino district. (I voted for her, as it happens.) Worked on Capital Hill for a while before that. Perhaps I am mistaken, but to me this seems another hint that HRC didn’t learn from her mistakes in 2008; she hired people who didn’t know how to run a presidential campaign, and it did not end well. Betting on a weak GOP candidate and a victory by default would be poor strategy.
The article emphasizes that this is helping her in the Latino community. But you're right: She lost the 2008 primary because yer campaign strategists made crucial mistakes, and there is no evidence Ramiera understands overall campaign strategy. But maybe there are other senior people who do.
That's if you happen to somehow have a smartphone. Otherwise go to berniesanders.com/work. I won't be able to do that until fall at the earliest.
Incidentally, they justified calling it the largest event of it's kind by describing it as an on-line meeting. But regardless, I think 100,000+ is pretty impressive.
Finally ensconced at hotel in northern San Diego County, for court first thing in AM. Studying to do AFTER shower, then to bed. Rather stressful zooming through a huge, complicated freeway system at night in a largely unfamiliar area with heavy traffic.

Goings-on across the pond that sound rather familiar. FYI —Alan
Jeremy Corbyn's Labour leadership bid has a momentum even he didn't expect [Click] The longserving MP has tapped into the strong public antipathy to slick, PR-trained politicians, careful with their soundbites, sticking close to the centre ground. What especially angers them is being patronised, being told their views are old-fashioned and redundant, and that their preferred candidate is incapable of winning the 2020 election.
“There seems to be too much of a view around Westminster that only people who have ever been involved only in Westminster have any views on anything,” Corbyn said. “Well there are tens of thousands of people out there who have very good, very intelligent views. And they need to be heard.”
Howard Dean showed the way!

DeleteI listened to Bernie's organisational speech tonight. :-) If you want to volunteer, they said, text "work" to 82623.
