The long and the short of it is, he has been in jail and briefly in hospital under police guard for several days and treated extremely badly. He is out now but obviously shaken, worried about his father and without a place to stay. As one commenter said, "Oh, Charlie!"
I don't know if dear Charlie will ever recognize that his actions are not sufficiently changing the people or situation down there in his lifetime, and that his actions are causing destruction to his own well being. =Sigh= I sure wish he had moved to Vermont ten years ago.
Poor Charlie! I am fond of him, but I wouldn't wish him on my worst enemy, much less Vermont! He's totally self-destructive. It's a terrible and frightening thing to say, but he'll get himself killed one of these days.
Florida is an unhealthy environment for him, but Charlie would be Charlie anywhere. If he were on a desert island he'd get into arguments with the palm trees. He needs serious yoga and Tai Chi and other relaxation training!

ReplyDeleteCat, one interesting thing is that the City of Alachua had to pay him $199,000 in restitution. The brutality is unbelievable!
