  1. Bill, thanks for posting the online link to use if you don't text. Aside from that vital tidbit about texting, though, it seemed to me I learned nothing new. I thought it was going to be a great organisational meeting, but it was just some folks saying "Bernie is great" and Bernie saying, "Here's my stump speech in a nutshell" with the only "to do" being to text "work" to 82623 (or click to www.berniesanders.com/work) I may have missed some vital bits? It's possible as we had our son here and he was telling us of some struggles he's having with a housemate, so I was listening with one ear in each place, as it were. Please let me know what I missed! I did notice that they said it was the largest meeting *this early in* a campaign. But, yes, 100,000 is wonderful any ol' time! :-)

    1. That was really it. The host where I was asked everyone to introduce themselves, say a little about their previous political involvement, and tell what particularly attracted them to Bernie. I was the only one who specifically mentioned the Dean campaign. Several of the people there were teachers, which led to discussion of Bernie's proposal for free education at public colleges. One person, who runs a T-shirt store in downtown Oak Park, went on at length about an issue before the Oak Park Planning Commission that has nothing to do with Bernie.

  2. ,,,Had to listen in from home rather than attend the gathering, because son was coming over and every single thing in town took longer than it had to. Does ours also count as a MeetUp? :-)

Earlier in the day, I was able to rescue a small cricket from the floor of a windowless gas station bathroom! :-)

    1. The past couple of days temps have remained in the mid- to upper 80s. BUT the humidity has dropped sharply and there has been a nice breeze. Pretty pleasant on the whole.
