On this rainy day in Vermont on which we may experience the first thunderstorm of the season, the Shad and Lilac buds are opening, the flower bulbs are coming along nicely, tiny grass tips are shooting upward, and Dean is first.
So far it's been a thrill for me EVERY time it has happened. [grin]
Dispensing with income taxes and septic tank problems on the same day certainly lowered our stress levels. We have to re-jigger our withholding of various kinds, but it's good to get up to speed on that before I retire, which it seems I can do a couple of years sooner than anticipated. The part of our yard shaded by the big tree will now be a good location for roses.
Check this out! A woman in NY state got a photo today of two double rainbows together at different arcs in the sky! This is because the double rainbow was also being reflected up off a nearby lake. Very rare and very cool!

Factoid: Despite using 80-85% of California's water, agriculture accounts for only two percent of the state's GDP.
