Peace, Love and Maple Syrup are first this Arbor Day, along with our favorite former governor.
Currently reading To the Hilt. I just can't praise Dick Francis enough! This time the hero is a painter... Hmmm. Do I know anyone who is a painter? Donno if I ever asked you, Listener, do you like mystery stories? I think you would find Dick's portrayal of the painting process right up your alley.
Some day. Grandson became so freaked by being at the hospital that they had to up and leave there in the middle of the night! Being freaked only increases coughing and inability to breathe and it got to the point where it was healthier for him to NOT be at the hospital. Smart kiddo, really, but he also really needed to be watched and tended, as he could not breathe so well and was alternately coughing and screaming. How many hours in a row can any parent tend a child who is struggling to breathe, and while not getting any sleep themselves? Whooo! So today they took Grandson to the pediatrician again, and got another steroid shot to decrease the inflammation. Magic! He has been much better ever since!! What a relief! I wonder why they didn't think to give him another steroid shot before he left the hospital. Anyway, all's well that ends well! I hope he's out of the woods for good now!
I read up on croup at Wikipedia, it being personally unfamiliar. Evidently it is not persistent, thank goodness!

To judge from the strange memoranda coming down, some weird things must be going on weekdays at my secondary workplace, but the root(s) of it all are obscure. Best to let them stay that way, I suppose.
It is not typically persistent, but Grandson's was severe croup, and very scary. Five minutes struggling to breathe is bad enough, but 3 days, 2 nights is an eternity! One last steroid shot, yesterday, made all the difference. Alleluia!!
Today our birthday parcel arrived for Grandson (after first being sent to the wrong town ~ same first initial and one digit difference in zip code ~ but correct on the address label!!). He got to open it and discover his own Fisher Price barn with animals, people and accessories. :-) He exclaimed "Oh! It's a farm!" and was inseparable for it from then on! :-D It was so sweet to see the video and some stills of him enjoying it all! So wonderful that he is eating and talking again! You will have to imagine my relief; some things cannot be put into words…!

I'm not much into fiction mysteries. I prefer the Mystics. :-)
ReplyDelete*grin* You're a lot deeper than I am, Listener.
DeleteNo, I just follow my heart's desire and that's where it takes me. :-)
