Seems like she had shouted something Lawler didn't like. Gee, tough cookies. Folks nearby said lots of people were shouting. I'd like follow-up on this one too. I imagine no charges were filed.
Happily, this won't affect me at all. The only places I've eaten at in the last 5 years are Dairy Queen (for an ice cream cone with grands) and might have been to an Olive Garden once? I don't even like Dunkin Donuts' coffee, so I'm safe. Ha!
ProPublica wins Pulitzer Prize for public service.
The publication won for its stories on abortion bans and their effect on women's lives. This is ProPublica’s third public service Pulitzer in its 17-year history and eighth Pulitzer overall. "The public service Pulitzer is a unique prize, one that validates our conviction that a functioning democracy depends on investigative journalism to expose abuses of power and breaches of the public trust. As this series shows, with the collective might of our readers and supporters, ProPublica can expose unsafe laws, bring these hidden crises and preventable deaths into the national spotlight and spur change." -- nordy

🚨NY-17 social worker forcibly dragged out of Rep. Mike Lawler's town hall. Afterwards, Lawler told the crowd to "behave."
ReplyDeleteElected officials are supposed to listen to their constituents—not silence and remove them. This is not democracy.
