Continuing to get better here day by day. here, but still have quite a way to go. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Polymyalgia_rheumatica for several days, then 8 days in hospital with pneumonia, and so far 9 or 10 days at home recovering with the aid of wife, daughter, and visiting home health personnel. -----Alan
Very grateful for the update, Alan! Also so grateful to Miyoko, Naomi and the Visitors!! They are like angels among us. Stop by when you can, just to read and relax. You have kept this blog running with news posts for a long time and now get to float along for a time as you heal. I notice that nordy is posting more again, and Susan and Cat more too. W.A. and Renee contribute when they can. If you’d like info on anything, just type a topic and we can research it.
Sharing your hopes for your next week, Cat. Last Thursday I thought I was going to meet with the Oak Park writers group at the library, but got the time wrong. It meets at 7-8:30, which is hard to reconcile with a restaurant meal. There are bending machines in the area where it meets, to I'll check that out. Coming week I have an annual follow-up with my retinal specialist on Wednesday and an evening book discussion on Thursday.
My week includes 5 guidance meetings, 2 doctor appointments and a (routine) mammogram.
I get to discuss likely surgery, and start a statin for the first time ever. Sigh. I’ve had to accept that my time for conquering these things has shifted to cooperating.
