I have been overdosing on the progress of Trump’s NY civil fraud case, and can’t help but think of Rembrandt’s “Belshazzar's Feast” with Trump as Belshazzar, surrounded by Don Junior, Eric, and Ivanka as horrified onlookers. —Alan
That last column is largely based on interviews in a barber shop, which reminded me of The Police Gazette, which one could expect to find in a barber shop when I was young. Out of curiosity I looked it up in Wikipedia, and found that it ceased print publication in 1977, 46 years ago. I guess that means anyone who remembers it is at least approaching retirement age. It was always easy to spot because of the pink newsprint it was printed on. ----Alan
Hallo Catreona, When you are done setting posts, could you please switch the settings back such that when I click to see my photo I see the photo instead of the ascii version? I'd be most grateful.
I don't change anything. When I set posts, the editor is always set to display ASCII.
You can change the setting.
The post editor is not in front of me at the moment, but if memory serves there is a control at the far lefthand end of the toolbar - you know, that shows the controls for changing font, inserting photos and the like.
I was just coming by to tell you I found it. I think what happens is that when you use the HTML format it simply leaves it that way, which is what I found when I got in. So I guess we'll each need to begin by checking the little pencil icon to see which it's set for. Ha!

DeleteThat's really puzzling, because I did not touch any of the settings on the toolbar.
🤷🏻♀️ It's a mystery.
