This is such a tedious topic. The founders warned about factions, but over time, these illegitimate groups have wrangled their way into orchestrating procedures to benefit the money bags. Who holds the so-called "national debt"? The difference between the IOUs Congress spends on public works and the quantity the Treasury collects? Hoarders, people who prefer to lend currency at interest instead of returning what they do not need to the Treasury. But, the main problem with this practice is that people are encouraged to hoard and stagnate the economy like a stream that's backed up into stagnant pools. Yes, there is always more currency, just as there is more rain, but the stagnant pools breed ague and disease.
This is about what I expected. Republicans get enough to claim victory but it really doesn't amount to much. Although they're still negotiating over work requirements, which disturbs me.
Ivan Kurs, Russian ship that entered the Black Sea, was attacked by five (not three) Ukrainian maritime drones, hit by two (not zero), and is being very slowly towed to Sebastopol. If it does not sink in transit, it will require extensive repairs. It was intended to monitor and help to destroy incoming Ukrainian missiles. ---Alan

Am I picking nits? E. Jean Carroll #1 is already in the past and the last three on the list are currently investigations rather than cases. There is also an investigation into his connection to Jan. 6.
I figure that EJ Carrol will be in the past when Trump has paid up. But yes, I overlooked the Jan 6th case. One needs a scorecard--or a race sheet. ---Alan

DeleteWork requirements and drug screens for members of Congress might not be a bad idea.
