    2. Hoe does this fit with the theory that Easter island was originally settled by South Americans with a later influx of Polynesians? My vague memory is that the well-documented Polynesian influx was about 400 years ago.

    1. Yeah, it's a creative solution, and pretty teen friendly (one end of a former mall! Ha!). But the kids deserve a real school building, and that's being worked on. Monsanto held up demolition of the old building, but that's all moving forward again.

      Incidentally, our brother-in-law is one of the site scientists who went into the old school to test for toxins.
