Sis had a great idea. Dad's ninetieth birthday is coming up at the end of July. Since he never believes us that he has a fan base amongst our friends, she suggested we ask our Internet friends to send him birthday cards. Sis has a lot more online friends than I do. Still, it's quality not quantity, right?
I'll remind everybody nearer the time, but anyone who is interested in sending my dad a birthday card should let me know, so I can e-mail them the mailing address.
Sorry to be away all day. (Sooooo tired!) We hit a few unexpected snags today, but we are still able to Splash the boat tomorrow and sail her to her new home port. One interesting thing was crossing on the ferry with the wind blowing over 30mph. We were at the front of the ferry and there were whitecaps everywhere, with waves splashing up on the boat at times. One even came up and over our pickup truck! Not bad for a lake, eh?
No weeding today; bought strawberries and did a bit of shopping. The river hasn't risen any more, and there is a nice breeze from the river bottom. ---Alan
