Russia-Ukraine: five lessons from the 19th-century Crimean war [Click] Note: The lead photo is now known to have been partly faked; a previous photo shows many fewer cannonballs on the road. The photographer evidently had workers gather cannonballs from the surrounding area and place them on the road to make a better propaganda photo.
Note the second: I never thought of the connection between the Russian loss in Crimea and subsequent events in the US. But certainly the war was big news; there is a place (now a small city) near where I lived in California that was named Sebastopol because of a shootout between a sheriff's posse and a group of bandits.
Come to think of it, isn't that EXACTLY what would happen if said nefarious space aliens had planted chips in the conspiracy theorists' brains that kept them from thinking space aliens were involved?
