  1. The ViewMaster was not only entertaining, it was educational as well. It was the successor to the stereoscope; I remember visiting with the old couple across the street when I was very young, and they let me look at their stereoscope cards. I think theirs was a Holmes steroscope, [Click], but it might have been an
    Underwood. [Click]

    1. My grands are still LOVING using the ViewMasters you passed to me!! Our 6 year old grand was here this week and got it out to enjoy. I love when the children bring me a particular picture to see...like it's never been seen before. 😊

    1. Thank you, Hannah. It is truly my pleasure; this is a congenial place for me to socialize. I try to work in some variety in what I post, but at times (like now) that requires some effort. If only The Previous Guy would flee to Paraguay . . .

  4. Continuatlon of thought about Previous Guy and Paraguay:Map Shows Countries That Have Extradition Treaties With The United States. [Click] I see that Paraguay nowadays does. Not that an extradition treaty or its absence determines whether a country will deliver a wanted individual.

    1. I suppose Trump is constitutionally incapable of hiding out---anywhere.

    2. Of course, he's also incapable of doing anything constitutionally.

  5. We can see the smoke from the Yosemite fire, but the wind seems to be blowing it to the north, away from us. Only the very slightest smell of smoke in the air.

    1. Oh goodness, that still sounds too close. Here's hoping it's soon under control.

    2. It's roughly a hundred miles away from here; the latest newspaper story says it is partially contained.

    3. They have been doing controlled burns up there for a long time, so that helps. And I think there was a wildfire a year or two ago.
