Passengers face more airport delays on return to UK [Click] I don’t understand Britons’ insistence on dashing off to foreign countries for vacations when there are so many possibilities closer to home. ---Alan
Alan, I just posted your latest post, above. When I post from Safari it comes up as Anonymous, so that works well for posting for others. (Take note, puddle!) When I post from Chrome, as now, it comes up as me. This is both because Chrome on my computer is a better browser, but also because I am signed in there with the Google address that Renee created for me so that I could be an Admin here. In my Safari browser, I am signed in with my usual email address, and Blogger here won't give me the time of day. So, if you're having trouble signing in, check to see what email address you are signing in with.
Renee, Any chance you could make us ALL special email addresses for use here??
I have two Google accouns: one that goes with the gmail and the other with the Youtube that Google has taken over. I prefer to sign in with the Youtube account because the new account Google has assigned me on Youtube has none of my 100+ videos. There is a lot of consolidation going on with incompetent It supervision. AT&T cannot get its landline and satellite services linked. The chrome browser on the laptop just updated itself. so I took the opportunity to clear out all history.
Testing with Safari

Took a LOOOOONG time for Safari to start up the second time--something running in the background. Which is why I had not been using it.

Set default opening page on Chrome to Google.com to see if that works.

Oops, no--I was trying Chrome browser, not Safari.

As Ukraine War Continues, Eurasia Is Shifting - George Freedman Russia Ukraine War Update [Click] There are two or three confusing nonsequiturs in this; I am not sure if it is because the speaker is not using notes, or because of poor editing—but they are tolerable. Freedman makes a number of very good points.

For the moment Firefox is working; it seems unpredictable.
