Wow! Mayday already! In re the Blogger problems, should we take an inventory of operating systems and browsers that do and don't work? I think I have ones that do and don't. The one that I think does work has problems with something that keeps loading in the background at times, so I normally just ignore that one. Just having to sign my name to each post is too small a problem to fuss with. Odd that I can't figure out how to use my Google ID with it, but that also isn't any big deal. Another type of problem I run into at times is saturated memory in the server. Over in the rightmost column there are a HUGE number of old posts listed--might it be time to clear a lot of them out? ---Alan --Alan
Re the HRC column--- I sure hope so. A resurgence of true Populists is long overdue, and I remain irate at the theft of their good name by their opposites.
Bonus Quote of the Day May 1, 2022 By Taegan Goddard
“This is the first time the president has attended this dinner in six years. It’s understandable. We had a horrible plague – followed by two years of Covid.” — President Biden, quoted by The Guardian, at the White House Correspondents’ dinner.
“Just imagine if my predecessor came to this dinner this year. Now that would really have been a real coup.” — President Biden, quoted by the Los Angeles Times, at the White House Correspondents’ dinner.
You may have noticed stories about severe outdoor watering restrictions in Southern California. [Click] Here the allowable springtime watering days have been increased from two to three, the same as for Summer. I remember that last year a couple of the big SoCal water districts were offered the chance to buy a substantial amount of water from the California Aqueduct, but turned it down as too expensive and probably unnecessary. Fresno has been doing pretty well.
Amarylis, iris, roses, Aztec lily, epiphytic cacti, and one type of azalea are currently doing well. Wisteria is finished blooming, but typically blooms a second time. The purple gazania (ground cover with daisy-like flowers) is past its prime. We are gaining on the weeds. We have a few cherries on the trees, turning color now, and I sprayed them with spinosad (a natural preventive for vinegar flies, but has to be sprayed at five-day intervals until harvest. We thinned the peaches.
UPDATE: Brenda is working on setting up a new blog for us all to use. She just needs to figure out how to send an invitation to the blog that will actually send! Then we need to confirm that puddle can get into it and post. Once we have that, Brenda will need email addresses to send invitations to . Once you confirm, you're in. 🤞 Soon, we hope.

For a second there, I thought you were referring to Hillary Rodham Clinton, then realised you meant HCR. ~ listener, a Nonny Mouse
DeleteI am using Google Chrome on a PC and having absolutely no problems. But when listener does the same she gets a persistent refresh, IIRC.
