Virginia Republicans Wait for Ballot Count [Click] “A crew of about 60 will begin at 1 p.m. Sunday to tally the ballots by hand, a method three gubernatorial contenders demanded amid fears that vote-counting software the party was considering could be rigged against them.” With maybe 53,000 voters and ranked-choice voting?

  5. Happy Mother's Day to all MOMs and to all who mother others! 💕

    VT May 7th: 23,486-23,445 = 41
    Active Cases:1853
    Deaths:249(x4)
    Recovered:21,384 (91%)
    Hospital:12(-2) ICU:2(-1)
    Tests:385,115(+222)

Okay, I officially don't know what's going on with the count. The State's official count of new cases today is 6. Seriously? The math says 41. Where the heck do they get 6?
    +35 +6 ?

  6. Miyoko and Naomi visited a strawberry stand today. The earliest berries were probably about three weeks ago; today's are a little smaller but sweeter than the first crops. Very nice flavor. The Hmong farmers extended the season considerably, and the strawberries from the big commercial farms over on the coast can't begin to compare to our local ones.

    1. Yum! Thanks for the tip. I'm seeing big strawberries for sale here, but they look under-ripe, so I'm going to wait a bit. They aren't in season here for another 5-6 weeks.
