Air Quality Index down to 94, "moderate." Visibility looks to be a couple of miles, moderate amount of blue to be seen overhead. We shall take our morning constitutional today.
Many In Nursing Homes May Not Be Able to Vote [Click] The writer of the original article states, and several of the people interviewed imply, that there is a constitutional right to vote. I think there ought to be, but there is not (in the US constitution—I doubt it is in any state constitutions, but it might be.
OHIO: As of Wednesday afternoon, there have been at least 117,584 confirmed or probable cases in the state, 4,044 deaths, and 13,043 hospitalizations, according to the Ohio Department of Health.
And in another twist, there are now rows and rows of toilet paper, but no paper towel to be found in either of the groceries I visited.
Alan, with regard to your last comment on the last thread: I never looked at it in quite that light. But, indeed, every candidate I have voted for in the primaries and a good proportion of those I've voted for in the general have lost. So, yeah, why not bestow my vote on an outstanding candidate who doesn't, numerically and realistically, stand a chance? Why jinx Biden?
Oh my gosh! Laura is already a Category 3 hurricane, now predicted to be Category 4 before landfall! 😞
ReplyDeleteCategory four? Gee. A competent administration would be mobilizing FEMA and the armed forces for relief.
ReplyDeleteCompetent administration? Who needs a competent administration? We have Trump. :P

ReplyDeleteLaura currently just short of Category 5; 150 mph winds at the center.
ReplyDeleteAnd the hurricane will hit right around high tide.
DeleteLiving at 693ft above sea level, I can’t wrap my mind around storm surge coming 30-40 miles inland and leaving some in 9ft of water for days...!
