  1. Are They Police Departments or Armies? [Click] “The thin blue line looks like it’s ready to invade a foreign nation.” That’s not the only option for how police can respond to moments like this one. On Saturday afternoon, police officers in Camden, New Jersey—not dressed like soldiers—joined protesters in their march for justice. [Click]

  3. A couple more quick notes--gotta run.

Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA) was one of those protesters who gathered at Lafayette Park across from the White House shouted “Black Lives Matter” and ”I can’t breathe,” the AP reports.

A new Washington Post-ABC News poll finds Joe Biden leading Donald Trump in the presidential race, 53% to 43%.That 10 percentage-point margin compares with what was a virtual dead heat between the two candidates two months ago, when Biden was at 49% and Trump 47%.”“Among Trump backers, 87% say they are enthusiastic about supporting him and 64% are ‘very enthusiastic.’ Among Biden supporters, 74% say they are enthusiastic about backing him, with 31% saying they are ‘very enthusiastic.'”

    1. Update: Kamala Harris joins protest outside The People’s House [Click] Good for her; I wonder if this increases the probability of her becoming Biden’s running mate.

    2. I was moved to review Sen. Harris's Wikipedia entry. Upon reflection, I figure it is at least acceptable to blame most of the "inconvenience" I suffered because of her "mistakes" as San Francisco DA to egregious misbehavior on the part of the DA's office in another county. It's time I got over that.

  5. He’s got that in common with his supporters. They all exist in a state of fear and rejection is the less risky option. Lots of people have irrational phobias. Where they come from nobody knows.
