    Adam Schiff: [Click]
"My Republican colleagues, all they seem to be upset about with this is not that the president sought an investigation of his political rival, not that he withheld a White House meeting and $400 million in aid we all passed in a bipartisan basis to pressure Ukraine to do those investigations," Schiff said. "Their objection is that he got caught. Their objection is that someone blew the whistle, and they would like this whistleblower identified, and the president wants this whistleblower punished. That's their objection. Not that the president engaged in this conduct, but that he got caught."

    1. Well, sure. The only crime is getting caught.

  2. HOLY COW!!
Sondland Throws ‘Everyone’ Under the Bus [Click] All the political appointees, that is. And he is coughing up documentary evidence to boot. Guess he doesn’t cotton to three hots and a flop at Club Fed. Well, that is understandable; they don’t have lobster barbecues or golf courses any more.

    1. Oh, and he throws our Dear Leader under the bus, too.

    2. That'd be one bumpy bus ride, considering Dear Leader's girth.

    1. A John Dean Moment

Since the beginning of the impeachment probe, President Trump has insisted that there was no quid pro quo with Ukraine and that there were no conditions placed on a White House meeting for Ukraine’s president and no strings attached to releasing U.S. military aid.

Trump has repeatedly claimed it’s just another “witch hunt” or “hoax” perpetrated by Democrats.

Republicans have rallied to Trump’s defense echoing these statements.

Ambassador Gordon Sondland’s explosive testimony before the House Intelligence Committee has undermined everything. To say it was a “John Dean moment” is not an exaggeration.

    2. John Dean's own comment today (on CNN) was that this was not simply the worst day for the President in these hearings, but it was the worst day of his Presidency!

    1. I hope they are providing security for Lt. Col. Vindman's twin brother as well. A crazed armed trumper wouldn't be able to tell them apart because...twins.

    1. Thinking about Biden's closing statement, I wonder if he had read that last article. He seemed to be echoing its ideas.

  7. I've been listening to the debate on MSNBC via TuneIn.com. The biggest thing I've noticed is that, unlike the first debates, people are not trying to talk over each other.

    1. Pretty much every candidate seemed to be talking about unifying the country. And, of course, about defeating Trump. Otherwise there seemed to be very little of note.

  8. Thanks, Bill. I was otherwise occupied, and just tuned back in to the InnerTubes.

  9. I listened to all the testimony on Tuesday and all of Sondland's on Wednesday. I'm taping the rest to watch this weekend. But what an experience! I actually tried to call Rep. Nunes' office this morning to state that I am not amused by his repeated denigrations of the testimony, calling it a "Circus" and so on; and that, as an Independent and a Grandmother of eight, I feel he should be more respectful and responsible. But his mailbox was completely full! LOL!

    1. His mailbox is probably at his district office, which is empty and locked.

    2. Empty and locked all the time, I should have said.

  10. I note that there was discussion of the Black electorate in the debate; was there any discussion of the Latino electorate? After all, next year there will be more Latino than Black voters. Is anyone besides Bernie paying attention to them?
