Go to the "GOP Bets Everything on the Base" link and scroll down for rumor Rosenstein is going to resign. Why should I think Dear Leader will overplay his hand in the event?
It doesn't seem too bright to expect to maintain their congressional majority when they have at best twenty-five percent of the vote, especially in light of the news stories about the Democratic vote being energized. On the other hand, they managed to elect Trump...
An excellent read from the Uppity Wimmin Chronicles: The Culture War That Was Fought in the Sky [Click] “In 1928, women helped decide the presidential election, but they wanted more than just the vote. They wanted to do everything a man could do. Even fly the Atlantic.”
Well, the distraction didn't work too well. A few minutes ago I walked past my dad's TV, tuned to Fox News, and guess what met my ears? "Brett Kavanaugh..." They couldn't even get Fox News to go along with it.
It Makes No Sense for GOP to Stick with Kavanaugh [Click] “Kavanaugh is a massive liability now for a party that is already heavily identified with the grossest and most predatory aspects of male sexual entitlement. Keeping Kavanaugh at this point would be an act of sheer madness.” To paraphrase Napoleon, never interrupt your enemy in an act of sheer madness…
“Prodded to name refuges in the US, researchers will point to Washington and Oregon in the Pacific north-west, where temperatures will remain bearable and disasters unlikely to strike.” Great earthquakes and major volcanic eruptions are not disasters, eh?
Be sure to catch Alan's late night post Sunday night regarding more Kavanaugh accusers coming forward.

GOP Bets Everything on the Base. [Click] “…the party has all but abandoned independent voters this year…” And they have also abandoned a good part of the GOP’s traditional base; they are banking on a minority of a minority of voters. von Moltke the Elder would not approve. [Click]
