  2. I just took a quick look at the news prior to my morning constitutional; there is just too much of it. Pretty much all bad for the GOP, though.

  4. Rosenstein Likely to Leave After Midterm Elections [?] [Click] “…it seemed increasingly more likely that Rosenstein would stay in the job until after November’s elections and then depart, probably along with the attorney general.” Along with the Attorney General? Interesting times.

  5. A headline I saw today blew my mind: "Dangerous Sexual Predator Bill Cosby Sentenced to Three to Ten Years..."

On the one hand, it is a very good thing this monster has been tried and sentenced. On the other, it remains terribly painful to think of Bill Cosby as a dangerous sexual predator. All of you guys are a good deal older than myself, so you can't quite grasp the depth of the betrayal and distress I still feel whenever his name is mentioned and the realization of what he is hits me again. I grew up watching him and trusting him. The Fat Albert cartoon show taught love and kindness. Everything he did seemed to teach or to embody goodness and all the things one should strive for. Many, many Americans literally grew up trusting him. So, I cannot understand how he could have been a predatory monster all the time. Dr. Jeckel and Mr. Hyde times about a zillion!

    1. Ah, my. I only saw Cosby on TV a few times but I can well imagine your distress, Cat. Does not compute.
