The Spokane weather prediction has caused me to change my ideas of what coat to wear. Rain essentially all weekend with highs in the 40s. I'll be wearing my long winter coat, which I rarely do because it can't be conveniently hung over the back of a chair. And it's not quite warm enough when temps get down into the teens. But it offers more rain protection than the shorter jackets I typically favor and the temps are right for it.
Found myself awake early this morning -- well, 7 is early for me -- so I'll have just a bit of time for work before I leave.
Listener, I'm looking forward to the house photos.
Don't think I mentioned it but last week I earned not three Fun Trivia mini badges, but five, the three I told you guys about (24 Hours of General Knowledge, 24 Hours of Movies and Love, Trivially), also Picture It, which was photo quizzes, and another I hadn't realized was so close to being finished, Global Challenger. I currently have twenty-six mini badges and seven major badges. There are several challenges I cannot hope to meet since they involve speed as well as accuracy, but a good few remain.
My sister-in-law on Nantucket has some 5ft snow drifts (one engulfed her bird bath) from almost 10" of snow, and winds got up to 60 (gusts recorded at 82 and 83mph!) there today. Wild! She got to be home with her three cats, so is fine.
It was very windy here today, but no snow. The snow cover has been completely gone for several days. I've been hearing the occasional bird for a few days, but n one of the deciduous trees I can see from the house have started to leaf.It will be nice to finally see grass and leaves...if ever we do.
Dean makes all the difference!!!
