According to the weather ap on my phone, the current temp is 64. It's warm and rainy, so warm that I had to open the window. Not a bad day generally speaking, but it does sort of quash the Christmas mood.
Nice day here; few clouds and clean air (a weak cold front came through and blew away the stagnant, particulate-laden air we had been suffering). Naomi arrived this afternoon. I gave all the roses and fruit trees a dormant oil spray, but didn't do much pruning. I see that one of the replacement peach trees (a Belle of Georgia) had not grown as well as the other, probably because it has been shaded too much by the old tree, so that dictates removal of a small limb from the old one. We put up and largely decorated the Christmas tree. I have one report I promised a client by tomorrow, so better get cracking.
I was surprised by how long it took me to get over my lack of vigor after my blood loss and chemo; my hemoglobin had been around 15.5 g/dl, and I figured I ought to fee OK when I got up to 12; nope. 13? nope. 14? yes.
Howard lights up our world.

Warm and rainy today, one small flood before dark, receding now. One more warmish day, then back to winter.
ReplyDeleteSame here. Never thought I'd be glad to see wintery weather. It's a funny old world.
DeleteSis said she's going to hang the stockings tomorrow...not that we'll have anything to put in them, but they look festive anyway.
The bleeding finally stopped. Feeling weak today, but definitely better. Guess this is the new normal. *sigh*
ReplyDeleteIt better NOT be the new normal, Hear?
