  1. Howard is always in season!

Expedited plant hybridization--because of airline carbon taxes. [Click]

Hybridization (not gene splicing) of plants for desirable traits now reduced from decade-long project to less than a year; complete genome analysis for $50 a pop. Biofuel for airplanes competitive with petroleum; development funded by airlines. Maybe rice can be made more heat tolerant? This sure sounds like BIG stuff.

  3. We had a 10% chance of snow today, so said the forecasters.

It snowed for 5 hours leaving an additional 2.5" of snow on everything.

    1. And probably 90% of the surrounding area didn't get snow. Hence, 10%. ;-)
