  2. The photo out front shows part of a stone wall which runs through the local park woods, and actually does mark the town line between Jericho and Underhill.

  4. Hello. This is how lazy I am feeling today… I and actually dictating this message using speech recognition software. It probably says something about me that I would find such a complicated way to be lazy.

My son is now taking two college classes, freshman seminar and calculus. Calculus meets two days a week, and Demetrius just and left a little while ago to take him to class.

Daughter is now in her senior year of high school and is planning to retake the ACT. This will be her third time. I wish that she could donate a cup of motivation to her brother. The bummer news is that she is making noises about going to school out of state. I had really hoped that her big brother would move out first, allowing me to have some more time with my daughter.

Wow! This is still more work than I expected. More in a little while. Sorry I have been out of touch for so long.

  5. We just learned that tonight our son, currently in Brazil at a Taekwondo event, has successfully completed the Poomsae International Referee Seminar. He is ranked about 12th or 13th in the USA among sparring referees, and is now able to referee forms as well. We are so proud! He is a 5th Dan (5th degree black belt).

The memorial service for my friend Barbara was this afternoon. I was very touched that the pastor, who did not know her (this was at her daughter's church), had clearly taken the time to LISTEN to those who knew Barbara and reflect. His words about Barbara were spot on! He even recognised that she had a "pure, uncomplicated" way of loving those around her. So beautifully expressed. I thanked the pastor afterwards and told him I thought he did beautifully. He was sweet and humble and open...rare. And do you know what? Leaning up against Barbara's pretty jade green urn was a small stuffed white kitty, because she leaves behind her beloved white cat (who now lives with her family).

All things considered, a good day.

  6. I think I'm about to give up on facebook. It works so seldom, it's just amazing how much time I waste trying to get on. And frustrating. It's really just about not worth it.

  7. Ah, puddle, I'm sorry it's such a frustration for you. Do you think it's messed up because you're on dial up?

[Trouble loading Facebook is] "because you have dial up. also because php needs to load fully before it will display anything. it should just hang and hang until it is fully loaded then interpreted by your browser, try google chrome. why? because i really like that browser."
