Pretty easy day at work today; we bought four boxes of grapes, washed them and set them out to make raisins. Not going to set the alarm clock tonight...

P.S.: Crazy weather at Bahia Blanca... I see it is near Buenos Aires, not down around Patagonia as I guessed from the weather report. What with global warming, they are starting to have tornadoes thereabouts.
It was supposed to be 101 degrees today, and it felt like it. The grapes started turning brown in a single day. Raisins, here we come!
It's getting to be a bit much for us to carry sheets of five-ply plywood (covered with paper) loaded with grapes out of the garage and onto sawhorses set outside in the morning, then back inside in the evening. It's time to think about some sort of wheeled apparatus we can tow back and forth. Has to be convenient and easily stowed. Steerable too.
Zounds! Howard Dean!!

Think I'm ready for August to go. Noticed the other night it was dark by eight. Winter seems like a fine idea. . . .
ReplyDeleteI will miss the light and the color green, but certainly not the heat! We have a thunderstorm growling its way toward us right now.
