Medico very accommodating, says come in any time I want and if a steroid shot is in order he can give it, or I can go to the orthopedist as before. But I am opting for patience, because my leg and knee are significantly better today. I have to get back to mowing the lawn, and later this year I plan to free up a third weekend ever month, which should make it easier.
I think I did some good work this morning for the young ex-marine who arguably went nuts (no one seriously injured) on account of mental problems either originating in or exacerbated by service in Iraq and Afghanistan, with inadequate follow-on care. I don't know the truth of the matter, but I don't need to. It is my job to help the jurors understand things related to drugs and alcohol that are not common knowledge. After me the defense put on a forensic psychiatrist. The whole thing hinges on the defendant's state of mind during the time leading up to and including the incident. That's asking an awful lot of the jury, I think. But I can sleep well. The defense attorney (a good one) is handling the case pro bono, so I am doing the same. [Oh! I just sprained my arm patting myself on the back!] Well, in the words of a young lady [referring to Americans} who was interviewed at an anti-capitalist rally in New York in a documentary I have, "We're not all a bunch of greedy fucks." And with that, to bed.

Ah, me too! PhD*Son and our two Maine*Grands arrive on Saturday while I'm at work. Must finish last things in the next ten minutes, and had to cut corners as well...because I spent 7 hours in the garden today putting in Winterberry bushes. Doesn't it just figure that just after we have the fence put in and are buying bushes the truck catches fire and my Mini's brake light comes on necessitating $850 in repairs that are not covered by warranty and were not in the budget? Add in that the kitties ended up getting spayed a month early and maaaannn that's a lot of catching up to do.
Must sleep! VT*Grand is here overnight, so I don't know what time tomorrow begins. Heh.
Once in a while I use Ivory soap, which is kind'a hard to lather up enough. dishwashing liquid would be easier. My Aunt Patty used to put the little girls in for a bubble bath with dishwashing liquid, and it seemed to work just fine.
My mom used soap on me sometimes when I was little. But I also remember we had to do either a lemon or vinegar rinse to get rid of the soap scum, so I wouldn't have tried soap.
Zounds! Howard Dean!

Kid's coming late tonight (or trying) and I have more to do than I can. Trying to be reasonable about what I hope to do.

Puddle posted yesterday about using Dawn when she was out of shampoo. LOL--that's what Demetrius has been using as long as I've known him.
ReplyDeleteLOL

DeleteMaybe I'll just go ahead and switch over -- certainly cheaper than shampoo! Demetrius is clearly a very smart fella!
ReplyDeleteI told him about you running out of shampoo and using Dawn instead, and Demetrius responded "You mean to tell me Dawn *isn't* shampoo?"
DeleteLol! Give da boy a hug from me!
DeleteLooks like I misunderstood the EST arrival. So I have at least another morning to finish the cleaning (yay).
ReplyDeleteRe: Dawn...
ReplyDeleteOur vet recommends it for bathing kitties.
