Dunno how my post got posted twice; maybe this one will (or not).
Sent my doc an e-mail to see if he thinks I should just be patient and see if my left leg and knee improve or if I should come in for maybe a steroid shot. Generally getting better, but I have had some twinges in the meniscus for several days now. It's WAY better than my right leg was when I went in and got it treated, but I wonder if I'm being reasonable or a damned fool to just be patient. (The relief I had from the steroid shot in my right knee was little short of miraculous, and that knee is just fine now.) The basis problem is lack of exercise with consequent loss of lower body strength associated with my medical adventures of 2009. I swear I will work on that once both legs are OK. Walking up and down stairs would be a good start, and convenient. We have a good safe stairwell (6-inch risers, 12-inch treads) in our house. (When we were planning the house I read a Scientific American article on staircase design.)
If the doctor advises patience, and you noticed a big change with the other knee, then how about getting a second opinion? Doctors often say "Be patient" until we let them know we have run out of same.
*Know* that stairway -- my front porch. Intuitive, after using my not so easy inside stairs for five years. When I redid the porch and stairs, I *knew* what I wanted, and got 'em.
Ah, Alan, I should'a known you'd be up on the Richard story.
To make something clickable, use good old HTML, like so:
< a href="" > Link Text Here < /a >
Remove all the spaces except that between "a" and "href". The URL goes between the quotes. The URL, article title, etc. that you want to make into a link goes between the A tags.
After having it in the back of my mind for much of my life, I've finally taken the first step towards joining The Richard III Society. Had to clear up whether my dues can be paid with US PayPal or I need to get an account with UK PayPal. Once that's cleared up, I can download the form and e-mail it back. All lovely and easy.
Howard Dean is Number One hereabouts, eh?
ReplyDeleteRemains of Richard III may well have been found:

Sorry, I wasn't paying attention when it was explained how to make links clickable here.

Let us know what the doctor advises, Alan.
