☆ VOTE! ☆ You have the Power! ☆ VOTE! ☆

It's Town Meeting Day in Vermont!
I'll be working at the polls, then working at the Library, then helping to count the vote.

Just learned that Eldest's town had their Town Meeting on Monday evening...and he went. :-)

  3. Hey! I just figured out how to get all of my various avatars in one place on my computer
AND I discovered how to change my avatar here, very simply! So cool!

  4. Probably about the best news of the day: 500 German fairy tales rediscovered:

  5. Hi ho, hi ho, it's off to town I go. Beasty cold. Pulled a blanket out on the porch for the Goobey. I *know* he'll eat it all up, but it's too cold to leave him without *some* protection. Got the car engine on, and I'll be driving slow -- lotsa ice out there I'm guessing. Traveling mercies, please.

  6. Well, I was wrong: NO ice. Cold as. . . . but no ice. The heated car did wonderfully well removing what was left of the snow, and the blow back from the snow on the hood. The roads were clear and dry, and I got there 20 minutes early. And blessedly didn't have to wait long. Also managed, despite a downed computer system, to get my thyroid refilled. Which looked for a moment like a three hour wait. Got another one of those childproof bottles. . . and to rip the top off with pliers. . . . Why why why?

Almost up to forty. Beau had dragged the quilt down, but only taken a couple of bites out of it. Needless to note, he was delighted to see me, and is in, asleep in front of the door.

  9. JS-KIT doesn't like listener's most recent comment for some reason. It's got "biohazard symbols all over it.

  12. I see that Romney did well in the Vermont Republican primary, and Paul didn't do badly.

Started out with some clouds, then wind and light rain, then blue sky, white clouds, and a cold (for here) wind. The past two or three days had been downright warm and beautiful. Well, that's March for you. Now to continue an Agatha Christie story--Secret Adversary that augurs well.

Speaking of auguring well, my knee does. Eleven days since the steroid shot, and now three days without any need of crutches (or cane) at all. Still being careful, though; not pain-free, and it has a ways to go to be back to normal.

  14. Note that Barack Obama still got more votes than any of them. ;-)
A lot of D's took R ballots since Obama is running unopposed.

  15. That's great about the knee, Alan...!

My stomach is still feeling a bit hesitant, so I'm eating gently.

Really glad to hear it. That's considered full-time, isn't it?

  17. I don't think so. I regularly taught 3 courses at the community college and wasn't considered full time.
(Said college is now screwing my son over, but that's a long story.)

This is Renee. I tried two different browsers and still couldn't log in.
