Everything fine here. Still have some work to do. But finding time to read/reread a bit of Lovecraft in preparation for leading a discussion of his "At the Mountains of Madness" on Saturday.
Sorry to be so long away. I've been thinking of you, puddle, all day long and hoping all good things for tomorrow! Holding you in the Light with Prayers Ensuing!!! ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
15 minutes ago I completed Phase 1 of Mah*Sweetie's surprise Christmas gift! On to Phase II~! There are three phases, but the last two each take days, whereas the first one took about 7 weeks.
But I'm coming down with some really crummy illness. It begins with a mild sore throat, then come the swollen glands, and now my hands are like ice, but so far no fever. I also have congestion like a mild cold. I surely do hope this isn't the mean ol' strep throat that Eldest*Granddaughter had last week. I could not have caught it from her as she'd been on the antibiotic 2.5 days before arriving. But I wonder if her dad or little sister were a carrier. It's most likely "just" something viral that will plague my week, but I am determined to get this gift done!!
Go puddle go! We're with you all the way! Bring along Ted D. Bear (I think yours had a cooler name?) and strap him in the front seat as your co-pilot. XOXOXXX
I had a stress test once a long time ago; I would suggest taking a good towel and a washcloth! Not being able to take a shower afterwards was a definite minus, but a bird bath will do in a pinch.
I have now read two of R. Austin Freeman's "Dr. Thorndyke" stories: "The Mystery of 31 New Inn" and "Mr. Polton Explains." The latter was written when Freeman was 79 and is said to be his best; it was begun in an air raid shelter in 1939. Both well worth reading, IMO.
It's still Dean.
ReplyDeleteBoth Howard Dean and Jim Dean strongly support the National Nurse.
To bed early last night. And tonight, for that matter: very early morning rise tomorrow!
ReplyDeleteAlan, the deer are lovely! Good eye!
Hmm. Why have there been no posts since 8 this morning? Is the blog site down?
ReplyDeleteGuess not.
ReplyDeleteI wasn't feeling like talking to myself, lol! How's by you?
ReplyDeleteGetting nervous about the stress test. I *want* this surgery!
Hi guys!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the stress test.

Hi Cat! How have you been?!?!!!
ReplyDeleteThink of it as a 'stressless' test, puddle. Thinking the good thoughts for you.
