Bianca has been lethargic all day and now she's drooling, poor baby. She has squished herself under the lowest bed in the house, though Sis says she seems to have sufficient headroom. She isn't losing liquids like Princess and Fluffy did, but that's about the only glimmer of good news. Everybody is very much on edge.
Poor Rep. John Fleming (R). He's just scraping by on a mere $400,000 after taxes and food, etc.. http://news.yahoo.com/gop-congressman-scraping-only-400-000-taxes-172044706.html
Indeed. I went to a staff meeting, then on to weed at The Root Center, then home to prune bushes and trees. Gotta use the good, sunny days while you have them!
This week I will be putting in double my usual hours at the Library! I was asked to work a 4 hour shift for the Library Director on Friday, then today the Head Clerk asked if someone would work in her stead on Wednesday and I volunteered even though it is, gulp!, an 8 hour day. With today's 1.5 hours staff meeting, that makes 27.5 hours for the week instead of 14. I'm doing it to help, but mostly for the money. At least, on Wednesday, I should be able to work sitting down part of the day. Otherwise, I think my legs might fall off. Ha!
Hey, Cat! Here's a website that might help you make sense of the symptoms
This link shows feline issues that include lethargy. But there is a "search by two symptoms" function too: http://www.helpmycat.com/symptoms.php?ds=389
Very confusing story because of the way the business and Fleming's personal income get mixed up. The business had a profit of $6 million. And it's the business that invests in new locations, etc. That's probably why Fleming drew only $600,000 for his personal use. OK, he invested $400,000 of that. But surely anything that was going to go into his existing business would not have been taken out in the first place? What did he actually do with that $400,000? I can't quite figure what he is saying.
Reclusive. Been hiding yesterday and today, though curiously not last night or early this morning. But she has no bounce to the ounce whatsoever. Usually, even when she's resting, there's some indefinable sense of energy about her. Now she's just a lump. No energy, almost no interest.
She is supposed to be an indoor cat, but she sneaks out whenever she can to sit in the grass and eat some. Dad took her out for a while yesterday, apparently thinking it would cheer her up or help here feel better. Far as I can tell, it didn't.
*scratching head* Interesting and scary list. I'll send it on to Dad. I don't think she has a fever. In fact, last night I thought she felt a little cold, certainly cold ears. She hasn't had any apatite these past two days, but he has not experienced weight loss. I kind of wonder about abdominal swelling. She's so plump that I probably couldn't tell that without feeling her, and I haven't wanted to do that.
I start teaching my new class the day after tomorrow. Not even remotely prepared, because I keep getting sidetracked dealing with Son's school, and how hard it is to get people there to actually *REPLY* when I take time I don't really have to spare to actually *write* to these people.
I don't know how coherent that was just now, but I'm getting sleepy, and I need to leave bright and early to drive Daughter to school. Was hoping to have some time with the spouse first, but he's busy trying to figure out why his computer is suddenly screwed up.
Cat, two or three times this year, Stevie's thrown up, not eaten for three days, and just hid in some tiny corner. Each time I was scared to death, and each time he came out of it. No idear what was happening. But he was fine after.
The point of the article is that too many members of Congress, such as this fellow, have no clue how the average American is struggling to make ends meet.
I can imagine! I was hoping that the online diagnosis site might prove useful, thus reassuring, but maybe it's still too vague. Take care of yourself as you wait. Waiting is hard!
Pink.

Thanks, puddle! ♡

Thinking of Bianca today. =^. .^=
ReplyDelete=Hugs, Catreona! =
Cool and green day. Moved some BIG rocks for the once and future terrace expansion. Shoulda been shingling. Gotta do what moves ya, I guess.
ReplyDeleteI got into the blog and it showed ONE post...puddle's Firsty.
ReplyDeleteSo I posted twice and checked again and suddenly there were 5 posts, including Cat's before mine.
I guess we were all posting at the same time! :-)
Cat, has Bianca ever had digestive problems before? Is she still eating?
ReplyDeleteA lethargic cat may have a fever (infection) or be in pain.
Any chance her teeth are bothering her (hence the drool)?
You might want to chat with a vet.

Is Bianca truly lethargic or is it more that she's reclusive?
ReplyDeleteIs she an indoor car or outdoor?

ReplyDeleteLike listener, I'm a bit frustrated not to have a clue what Bianca's problem is and whether there is anything that maybe can be done about it.
ReplyDeleteThank you, listener.
ReplyDeleteGuess so. Either that, or Echo is having a bad day.
ReplyDeleteAs far as I know, she hasn't eaten today. Can't answer your other questions. Dad is very definitely not going to take her to the vet.

I'm sorry not to be able to report more precisely. It's hard having to collate other people's imprecise observations as well as my own.

ReplyDeleteHope the kitty is okay, Cat.

ReplyDeleteIt'll probably work out. It's always reassuring to feel you are on top of things, but nimor gaps usually never come up.
